Ten years this year, which is so hard to believe. I've been thinking about you a lot lately and missing you always. It somehow still doesn't feel real. Your friendship left a profound impact on me and you always have a place in my heart. I hope you're resting easy.

It is hard to believe that it has been six years since you left me, your family, your friends, our life. There is not a day that goes by where I miss seeing you, talking to you, wishing I would have had more time with you… you are always in my thoughts.

Sam, you were & will always remain a brother to me. I would not have made it through my high school years if it wasn’t for your unconditional love and wisdom way beyond your years. I still think about you everyday and live today for the both of us. Thank you for teaching me how to be a best friend & brother. Love Always, Patrick. 

There is not a day that goes by that I don't think of you. You and bear are my best friends, my brothers. I was so blessed to ever have you in my life. Your light shines on sammy. I'll continue to wear our flannel proudly. I love you brother. 

There isnt a day that goes by that I dont think about Sam. I try to remember all of the beautiful memories but my optimism is only so strong. I will always remember my friend, my family, my brother. I still live each day for the both of us. And will always keep his memory and love Alive. Love always.

It was a heavy heart that I learned of your son's, Samuel, passing in an email from Heidi. Because it is not the natural order of things for a child to precede his parent in death, I am really at a loss to express in words any type of comfort. Sam was the first person I met when I started my Penn State education and then became my friend, my roommate, and my brother. There was so many great memories and times we shared together. One thing we always spoke about was his favorite site Fallingwater. A beautiful house built in 1937 by Frank Lloyd Wright. We were always going to take the trip. After he started his fight I made him a promise that after he got better we would take our trip.. On hearing of his passing I knew I had to keep my promise and went out on a 2 day trip to Fallingwater. The building was beautiful and full of life and light. I knew he was with me every step of the way. 

In Sam's honor I made a donation and had his name placed inside of Fallingwater on the building for everyone to see and enjoy for years to come. A piece of him will always be in that building and makes me happy in this very painful time. I know I'll always miss him so much. But he will forever live through me and Fallingwater. My thoughts, love, and prayers are with all of you.

There really are no words. All our thoughts are with you. Know that every life Sam touched feels the impact of this heartbreaking and tragic loss. Be well and stay strong, and let love be your light and shield.

My heart broke when I heard the news of Sam. I'm so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

I met Sam when I was 12 years old at an HCC. summer class to learn Spanish. We became fast friends and I loved him and his quirky personality to death. He always supported me, good times and bad, through middle and high school. Although we were not as close in college since we both went out of state, I always knew that if I needed to be cheered up, Sam was always a quick message away. He gave me 10 wonderful years of friendship and I will miss him so much. One of my fondest memories was when we tried to dye our friend Tommy's hair purple and it came out green. The laughter was endless. My prayers go out to your whole family, I cannot even fathom the depth of your loss. He was an amazing person and will be missed by many. I'll go out and look for the brightest star in the sky tonight because I know that's where he will be.
