She was born in New Orleans on September 29, 1939 to Louis and Anna Pearl (Dalma) Haupt. She worked as a bank teller at Whitney Bank after high school.
She married Billy D. Jones in June 1968 after being penpals for three years. They were married for 53 years until Billy’ s passing in 2021.
Billy and Alice enjoyed good meals with friends and traveling to visit family across the country. They also made trips to visit Greece, Nova Scotia, Yellowstone National Park, and New England.
Alice enjoyed crafting, reading and watching shows about animals.
She is survived by her daughters, Allison Jones and Suzanne Yonke, both of Columbia, MO; her grandsons, Locke Parrish and Ethan Yonke; her brothers: Stephen Haupt and David Haupt; her sister, Carol Ann Haupt, and many beloved family members and dear friends. She was predeceased by her brother Louis Haupt, Jr.
A Visitation and Memorial Service will be held Monday, January 20, 2025 at Memorial Funeral Home in Columbia, MO at 1:30pm.
