

Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 from 12:00pm – 2:00pm at Memorial Funeral Home in Columbia, MO. Funeral service will be on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at 2:00pm at the funeral home.
Bernard was born on December 23, 1953 in Kenya, Africa the son of Aron Ndivo Kole and Grace Kamene Ndivo. He was married in Columbia, MO to Joeann (Johnson) Ndivo who preceded him in death on May 29, 2012. In 1988, he started his 28 year battle with kidney disease where he went dialysis and survived two kidney transplants. That did not stop him; he still exercised daily, he went to gyms and ran everywhere. In 1985, he received his Bachelors of Engineering from University of Missouri as well in 2011 he received a Graduate Level Degree in Nuclear Engineering. He spoke over 10 languages, and taught at the University of Missouri.
Survivors include: his mother, Grace Kamene Ndivo; five children, Mary Warren-Hubbard of Columbia, MO, Brenda Warren of Kansas City, MO, Randy Warren, Valencia Warren, and Phillip Warren all of Columbia, MO; four sisters, Jane Mwenda Ndivo, Winifred Waeni Ndivo, Anne Mwikali Ndivo (Francis Ngure) and Regina Ndunge Kinanda; 23 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Alleane Johnson; one brother-in-law Fred Johnson and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his father, Aron Ndivo Kole; two grandchildren and one great grandchild.
