

Brenda Earlene Saunders, 63, of Columbia, MO passed away on December 2, 2016 at University Hospital in Columbia. Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Brashears Memorial Chapel in Brunswick, MO with Pastor Timothy Fugate officiating. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Brenda was born July 21, 1953 in Brunswick, MO who was the daughter of the late Harry Lee Saunders and Anna Christina (Jordan) Saunders. She lived in Brunswick, Kansas City and Mexico, Missouri before making her home in Columbia. She was a certified nurse aide for many years and a caregiver to all. She was a key speaker for Hangers Prosthetics encouraging patients who were in need of prosthetics. Brenda played a monumental role in raising her grandchildren and great-grandchild; her family and grandchildren were her world. Brenda is survived by her three daughters: Crystal Gregory (Kenneth) of Columbia, Missouri, Stacey Henley (Jeff) of Tyler, Texas, and Christy Saunders of Columbia, Missouri; four grandchildren: Deziree Bryant, Devonte Griffin, Taylor Gregory, and Xavion Bryant; three great-grandchildren: Arianna Ross, Harmony Griffin, and Elias Ross; four brothers: Eugene Saunders of Moberly, MO, Gary Saunders (Carolyn) of Huntsville, MO, Douglas Saunders (Debbie) of Des Moines, IA, Darrell Saunders (Debbie) of Marshall; five sisters: Carolyn Curren (Eugene) of Brunswick, MO, Wanda Johnson, Marjorie Saunders, both of Columbia, Ritha Holly, and Lorna Alexander (George), both of Marshall; a host of nieces, nephews , and great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by seven brothers: James, Larry, Terry, Russell Donnell, Ronald Dean, Phil, and Calvin Saunders; and three sisters: Bily Jean Tristo, Dixie Lee Rasbperry and Judith Murry.
