Carol was born on March 24, 1952, in Pilot Grove, Missouri, the daughter of John and Naomi (Gramlich) Waller. She was united in marriage to Gary Brown on November 26, 1996, in Las Vegas, NV. He preceded her in death on May 10, 2021.
Carol worked for Shelter Insurance in Columbia, Missouri, for 39 years, officially retiring on March 25, 2017. Throughout her life, she found joy in gardening, often sharing with loved ones how her garden was thriving or why it was not thriving each season.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Yenzer and her husband, Shayne, of North Carolina; her grandson, Zakary Williams-Hurt, also of North Carolina; and her sisters, Mary Gerling (Marvin) of Boonville and Dorothy Simpson of St. Louis.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and four siblings: John Waller, Charles Waller, Helen Westmorland, and Ruth Hayden.
Carol was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister, and she was cherished by all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
