A Celebration of Life will be from 4:00 p.m., Friday July 10, 2015, at Memorial Funeral Home; with repass to follow at 5:00 p.m.
Christine was preceded in death by her father, Headley G. Dixon, and sister, Hillerie Brown. Survivors include her two children Lianne Hibbert, of Largo, MD and Marcus Swainson and wife Elyse, of Southfield, MI, grandchildren Muslimah Carpenter; and Elizabeth and Elijah Swainson. Mother Anita Dixon, siblings Patricia Bell (Garth Sr.), Hazel Lue (Egbert), Robert Dixon, Maureen Dixon, Esther Bahadosingh; Sharon McLaughlin (Kenneth); Rupert Dixon; and Alreisha Zokpodo (Emmanuel).
Christine was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and Christian. She sacrificed selflessly to provide a comfortable and loving environment for her children and grandchildren; affording them the opportunity to excel in life. Education was of the utmost importance, as evidenced by her success in obtaining her Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Psychology later in life. She led by example.
