Clara was born March 3, 1918 in St. Lawrence, Wisconsin, the daughter of Herman and Laura Schnorenberg. She spent most of her teen years helping her parents on their dairy farm.
She married Raymond F. Wiedmeyer on June 10, 1938, a union that lasted 33 years until his sudden death in 1971. In 1981 she moved to Columbia, MO to be closer to her son’s family and grandchildren. In 1987 she married Leslie Francis Pike and they traveled and remained together until his death in 2010.
She was a great gardener and spent countless hours tending to her flower gardens. She was also an avid Volksmarcher, walked the 10 K route in all 50 States, Puerto Rico, Canada and Italy.
She is survived by her son Raymond H. Wiedmeyer (Hsiao-Mei), daughters Cheryl Fortuna (Sixto) and Rachell Henni (Louis), eight grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am Wednesday, Feb. 1 with services following at 11:30 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Columbia. Burial will be Feb. 3 in Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery, Nenno, Wisconsin.
