He was born September 18, 1924, in Columbia, Missouri to the late William Arthur and MAggie Lee (Anderson) Jones. Clarence served in the United States Army during WWII, fighting in Europe from 1943 through 1945 and received a purple heart.
On October 18, 19435, he married Frances Nauser, and she survives. Clarence was a member and Deacon Emeritus at Grandview Baptist Church. He also enjoyed camping, drawing, and wood working.
Survivors also include his son, Larry Jones (wife, Rita) of Hallsville; two gransons: Jeffrey Jones (wife, Deborah) of Fort Collins, Colorado, and Keith Jones (wife, Catherine) of Mountain Top, Pennsylvania; as well as five great grandchildren.
Clarence was preceded in death by on son, Russell, three brothers, three sisters, and his parents.
There will be a visitation from 10:00 am to 11:30 am, on Thursday, June 12, 2014, at Grandview Baptist Church in Centralia, Missouri. Funeral service will follow at 11:30 am. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery.
