Darryl Turner, 71, of Columbia, Missouri, passed away on October 17, 2023. He was born on November 27, 1951, in Fayette, Missouri. Darryl was the beloved husband of Donna Turner for 51 years and the loving father of Cale Turner (Janet Turner) and Emily Furlong (Dustin Keith). He was also a cherished grandfather to Aidan Turner, Isaac Turner, and Clay Furlong.
He was preceded in death by his father Kenneth Turner, mother Bettie Turner and brother Richard Turner.
Darryl was a family man who adored spending time with his loved ones. He especially enjoyed racing and cherished the moments he spent talking to his racing friends. Another favorite pastime of his was spending time at the Lake of the Ozarks with his family and friends, creating lasting memories.
Darryl was the owner and operator of Darryl's Complete Auto Service for approximately 35 years. He took great pride in his work and was dedicated to providing excellent service to his customers.
Darryl attended New Franklin High School and had a strong sense of community for Rocheport, Missouri. He was a member of Rocheport Christian Church.
A visitation will be held Friday, October 20, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral and graveside service at 11:00 AM at Memorial Funeral Home, located at 1217 Business Loop 70W, Columbia, MO. The family wishes for people to wear their favorite racing, Mizzou or St. Louis Cardinals t-shirts/sweatshirts to the services.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to The Spay Neuter Project in Columbia, Missouri, as a tribute to Darryl's love for cats.
Darryl Turner will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
