
Harold Milton Hull, II, 77, of Columbia, MO passed away Saturday, March 1, 2025, after a long battle with failing health. Per his wishes, he will be cremated, and his urn will be placed in the St. Thomas More Newman Center Columbarium.
Harold was born, March 9 ,1947, in Columbia (at the old Noyes Hospital on the University campus) to Harold M. and Mary Jeannette Anthony Hull. In 1965, he graduated from Maryville High School and returned to Columbia on a basketball scholarship to play on the Freshman team at the University of Missouri. He earned his bachelor's degree in Business and graduated in 1969. In between semesters, he married Kathleen Tripp on January, 28, 1970. Following one semester of law school, Harold took a job with State Farm Insurance in the Regional Office in Columbia. The family later moved to Kansas City, then St. Louis, returning to Columbia in 1989. He worked for State Farm for 30 plus years, and at the age of 55, due to failing health, he took disability retirement. In his younger years he enjoyed tennis and slow pitch softball. Later in life he rekindled his love of trading baseball cards and memorabilia. He collected, traded, and sold many items over the last several years.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Kathy Hull; daughters, Christine Black and Jennifer Burke of Columbia; grandchildren, Carsyn (Logan) Davidson, Braeden Morris, Annika Black, and Addison Burke all of Columbia; a nephew, Curtis Ware, Jr (Jill) of Cassville, MO; great nephew and niece, Kobhe & Greycynn Ware; niece Sheri (Tracy) Yates of Edmond, OK; great nieces Spencer, Chandler & Kennedi Yates; and other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Hull, sister, Susan Hatfield, and his parents.
