

Ted Haverich, 79, of Columbia, MO passed away, Wednesday, June 18th in Columbia. Visitation will be Saturday, June 21st from 1-2pm at Memorial Funeral Home 1217 Business Loop 70 West Columbia, MO. Funeral Service will begin at 2pm followed by burial in Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Ted was born, May 7, 1946 in Farber, MO to Theodor and Alma Witt Haverich. He married Frances Worthington on October 2, 1966 at the Bowling Green Christian Church. He worked for the Harvest & Walker Brick Plant in Vandalia before moving, in 1974, to Florida. After returning to Columbia in 1975, he began to work as an electrician. In 1978, he began his career as a Union Electrician, which he would have for over 30 years. He helped in the construction of the Callaway Nuclear Plant, Brady Commons, and the MOHELA building, just to name a few. After retirement, he began to drive for OATS Transportation. He loved to work around his house making home improvements and caring for the lawn and landscaping. When he wasn’t working, he and Fran loved to travel. They traveled on cruises, visited Hawaii and Canada, and overseas 3 times. They visited Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, and several places in Europe.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Fran Haverich; children, Tracey Haverich, Mara Young, Christina Haverich, Chad Haverich, and Kyle Haverich all of Columbia; grandchildren, Alejandro, Sabrina, and Estela Gallardo, Meghann Momphard, Tyler Young, Brenna Young, and Dalton Guralny; two great-grandchildren, Carson Momphard and Major Jackson; a sister, Anita Meinert of Germantown Hills, IL, several nieces and nephews and a loving extended family. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Logan Guralny; siblings, Doris Pease, Carol Keller, and Ron Haverich; and by his parents.
