Jack Brannan

Services for Jack will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be 10 am – 11 am and Funeral Services will begin at 11 am. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Jack was born on May 25, 1923 in Texas the son of Frederick Brannan and Helen (McClellan) Brannan. On August 15, 1959 he was united in marriage to Marilyn (Byrd) Brannan who preceded him in death on January 16, 2023.

Jack was raised in Kansas and earned his PE from Wichita State University and began a career with Boeing and Honeywell before going into private aerospace consulting. Jacked worked with NASA on the Apollo moon landing missions. Jack enjoyed camping, driving, traveling. When he was home he was always tinkering on something. He deeply loved and was fiercely protective of Marilyn up to the end. He will be remembered for his huge heart, quick jokes and the little ways he made each grandchild feel special.

Jack is survived by his three children: Patrick (Kimberly) Brannan of St. Louis; Stephanie (Darrell) Williams of Hubert, NC; Anastasia “Stacy” (Derick) Hasselman of Columbia; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and two sisters: Sally and Ilus.
