Her parents were Alton Walker and Annie Baskett Walker Buckman and her step-dad was Brooks Buckman.
She was married to Herbert Leroy Peper on February 14, 1959. The couple had three children: Sandra Kay Bush, Randall Leroy Peper and Mark Herbert Peper.
Janet worked as a Quality Control Specialist at a car seat factory and then a Walmart Associate for 20 years.
She was a member of the Branson United Methodist Church. Janet was an avid traveler and traveled with her family all over the United States and several trips to Europe and even Cuba.
She is survived by her two sons Randy and Mark, her twin sister Janice Fay Walker Geist and a step-sister Leta Coffey. She was preceded in death by her husband Herbert, her daughter Sandra, her sister Marilyn and her step-brother Jesse.
Visitation is on Thursday, January 16, 2025, from 10am to 11am at Memorial Funeral Home, 1217 Business Loop 70 W, Columbia MO 65202. Chapel Services will follow at 11am.
