Jeanette R. Elfrank, 91, of Columbia passed away Thursday evening, October 23, 2014, peacefully at home surrounded by her family. A private family service will be held Monday, October 27, 2014 at Memorial Funeral Home, Columbia. Jeanette was born November 8, 1922 to John and Jessie Robertson in Erwin, Tennessee, and she was the eldest of six children. Jeanette married her husband, Warren on March 18, 1944 in Washington, D.C. Jeanette was preceded in death by her brother, John Jr., her parents and her husband, Warren. Her greatest joy has been her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Everyone who knew her described her as loving, generous, kind and exceptionally sweet. Jeanette is survived by a sister, Jane Farr of Sparta, NC; a sister, Hilda Cooper of Erwin, TN; a sister, Carolyn Allen of Erwin, TN; a sister, Kate Banner of Erwin, TN; her daughter, Karen Harper and husband, Steve; son, James David Elfrank of Basking Ridge, NJ; daughter, Patty Cole and husband, Rick of Mexico, MO; daughter-in-law, Shirley Elfrank of Harrisburg, PA; six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
