With great sadness we announce the passing of Joseph Andrew Haverstick of Columbia, Missouri, raised in DeSoto, Missouri. He passed at age 65 on December 20, 2022 surrounded by his loved ones after a battle with Alzheimer’s. Joe is survived by his loving wife of thirty-nine years, Cecilia Haverstick; brothers, Larry, Edward, and Michael Haverstick; children, Joseph Haverstick, Christopher Haverstick, Sarah Ordway, Emily Haverstick, and Andy Haverstick; eight grandchildren, and multiple nieces, nephews, and in-laws. He is preceded in death by parents, Imogene and Albert Haverstick; brother B. Albert Haverstick II, and daughter, Catherine Haverstick.
Joe was an avid reader, hunter, and entrepreneur in life. In his spare time, he dabbled in many interests including gardening, farming, estate planning, and collecting. He will be missed for the joy he brought to those around him, his incredible work ethic, enormous faith, and boundless sense of humor.
The visitation will be held on December 28, 2022 between the hours of 1:00 and 3:00 pm with Memorial Services beginning at 3:00 pm at Memorial Funeral Home in Columbia, MO.
