Kenneth Dale Parmer

Kenneth Parmer, 83, of Columbia, MO passed away Monday, October 23rd. Visitation will be 10-11am, Saturday November 4th at Memorial Funeral Home 1217 Business Loop 70 West Columbia, MO. Funeral service will begin at 11am followed by burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Kenneth was born January 11, 1940 in Boone County, MO to John C. and Bessie Lee E. Forbis Parmer. In 1958, he graduated from Hickman High School. He soon went to work for Pepsi-Cola working in production and maintenance. He married Anita F. Mason on September 6, 1964 in Liberty, MO and she preceded him in death on September 26, 2020. He later worked for MFA Insurance doing maintenance for a few years before going to work for the University of Missouri Hospital. He continued working in the HVAC maintenance field; retiring after 26 ½ years. Throughout his life he passionately served his beloved church and simply liked to help others.

He is survived by his 2 sons, Dale (Heather) Parmer and John (Stacy) Parmer of Columbia; grandchildren, Macie, Weston, & Gus Parmer; a brother, Bill (Trisha) Asbury of St. Louis, several nieces and nephews and a loving extended family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anita; parents, and a sister, Judith Asbury.
