LaDonna Ann McLane, aged 67, passed away on May 16, 2025, at age 68, in Columbia, Missouri. Born on March 17, 1957, LaDonna dedicated much of her working life to the community of Hallsville, where she was a familiar and friendly face at Casey's for nearly two decades and served as a crossing guard for over ten years.
LaDonna was a cherished member of the Rocky Fork Fellowship, where she found a community of faith and fellowship. Her hobbies brought her much joy; she was an avid collector of Dalmatians and all things purple, and her crocheting skills were nothing short of artistry, creating beautiful pieces cherished by those who knew her.
During her time in Spokane, she was an avid member of the PTA at her children’s school for over ten years. A dedicated elementary school mom, she generously gave her time to support students and teachers. From organizing fundraising events, helping with classroom holiday parties, and working after school hours to create curated crafts she could do with the students in the classes she volunteered with. Her creativity and commitment left a lasting impact on the school community.
She is survived by her daughter, Sarah Defelince and son-in-law Zak of Conway, South Carolina; son, Ben Polwarth and granddaughter, Adellia Polwarth both of Spokane, WA; and brother, Billy Nutter of Montana. LaDonna was formerly married to Stephen McLane of Hallsville. She was preceded in death by her brother Harold Nutter and her parents, John Henry and Dolores Angeline (Bruce) Nutter.
A private family ceremony will be held at a later date to honor LaDonna's life. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Shriners Children's Hospital in Spokane, a cause close to her heart.
LaDonna's legacy of kindness, community service, and the warmth she brought to every room will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
