Leonard was born, July 28, 1934, in St. Louis, MO to Adolf and Katherine Potrzebowski Hieke. He married Geraldine “Gerri” Tipton on July 14, 1984, in Columbia. He worked for several years as a hardware buyer for a local lumber yard.
He is survived by his wife, of 42 years, Gerri Hieke; daughters, Kim (Rick) Ridgway of Moberly and Mary (Jeff) Dannenberg of Cincinnati, OH; grandsons, Dylan Dannenberg, Jason Ridgway, and Andrew Brink; and by his beloved dog, Piper. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cheryl Brink; sister, Leona Moser; and stepsons, Gary, Gregg, Michael, and Blaine Parker.
