

She was born on August 1, 1951, in Columbia, Missouri to her late parents, Charles Benedict and Mattie Lee (Whitesides) Benedict.
Linda was united in marriage to her husband, Thomas Joseph Cooper on February 9th, 1983. He preceded her in death in 2020.
Above all, Linda was a devoted wife and mother who cherished time spent with her family. She enjoyed her potted plants and desserts, traveling to Las Vegas, Nevada, and spending time on the water at the Lake of the Ozarks. She was also an avid fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and the Mizzou Tigers.
She will be dearly missed by her son, Christopher Verslues; her sister, Belinda Davenport; her grandchildren, Jessica Holliday (Zach), Bryan Grieme (Stephanie), Benjamin Verslues, Benjamin Cooper (Alaina), Meghan Volkmann (Jeremy), Tanner and Tate Cooper, Tyler Shuey (Savanna), and Marissa Wilkins (Scott); and her great-grandchildren, Madelyn, Brooks, Evan, Everett, Willow, and Nora Cooper, Easten, Liam, and Raylynn Shuey, Ivan Lee, Jackson Morris, Jameson and Jason Grieme.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Kimberly Verslues; eight siblings; and her great-grandchild, Landon Holliday.
Private services will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery, 1217 Business Loop 70 West, Columbia, Missouri 65202.
