Visitation will be on Sunday, June 30, 2019 from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm at Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral service will be on Monday, July 1, 2019 at 10:00 am at the funeral home with Rev. Bruce Williamson officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mark was born on January 6, 1968 in San Diego, CA the son of William Alley and Joyce (Baumgartner) Holland. He moved to Columbia in 1977 and graduated from Rockbridge High School in 1986. In 1988, he went to work at Perry Chevrolet, currently known as Bob McCosh Chevrolet, as a salesman and then later management. On May 5, 1990, Mark and Kim Alley welcomed a beautiful baby boy, Zachary David Alley. In 2001, he started his own used car dealership, Alley Automotive, to continue his love for the car industry. He was married on October 22, 2011 in Fulton, MO to his “beautiful bride”, Stacy Davis. In 2018, he expanded his sales passion to selling homes and was currently employed at Columbia Discount Homes.
Mark was an avid bowler for many years. He enjoyed traveling from one tournament to another, relishing in the company of friends and family and meeting new people. He retired in 2010 and later that year he was inducted into the Bowling Hall of Fame. After this, his favorite pastime became mentoring, hanging with and passing his life lessons onto his nephews, Freddy and Carson Jones.
Survivors include: his beloved pet, Romeo; his cherished wife, Stacy Alley of the home; his devoted mother, Joyce Holland of Columbia; his son, Zachary David Alley and his wife, Alyssa of Columbia, and a large extended family and friends.
