Raymond B Thebeau

Raymond Bruce Thebeau, 74, of Columbia passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at his home. Services will be conducted on Thursday, October, 26, 2023 at Memorial Funeral Home with Visitation Noon – 1 PM and a Funeral Services will begin at 1 PM.

Raymond was born in Granite City, Illinois on August 31, 1949, the son of the late Joseph A. Thebeau and Mildred L. Conway Thebeau. On September 16, 1978 in Ironton, Missouri he was united in marriage to Penny Hargrove Thebeau who survives in their home.

Raymond had a long career at 3M here in Columbia. He also enjoyed his time driving a bus for the school district. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed singing in the choir and around the house. He enjoyed wood working and metal detecting. He was an accomplished chef when he followed Emeril’s recipe exactly. Not so much so, when he followed his instincts.

Raymond is survived by his wife: Penny; his children: Ed (Doreen) Moses; Marlene Stevens-Hanson; Tony (Sarah) Thebeau; Montez Thebeau; Travis Thebeau; a granddaughter who was raised as a daughter: Jaymee (Cody) Thomas; a special great granddaughter: Paxtyn; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings: Kay Johnson; Robert (Kathy) Thebeau; Susan (Kenneth) Alley and one sister-in-law: Sarah Theabeau. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother: Gary and his beloved four legged companion: Benny.
