Mr. Robert S Palmer

Visitation will be on Friday, September 16, 2016, 2016 from 1:00pm – 2:00pm at Memorial Funeral Home in Columbia, MO. Funeral service will be on Friday, September 16, 2016 at 2:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery

Robert was born on January 6, 1929 in Wolsey, SD the son of Ross and Beulah (Kimbrought) Palmer who preceded him in death. He was married on July 12, 1962 in Waynesville, MO to Mary Lee Weable who survives of the home. Robert was a veteran of the US Army and worked for the MO conservation for over 25 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping. He was most notorious for his gardens; he had quite the green thumb.

Other survivors include: two sons, Charles Palmer of Columbia, MO and Ronnie Palmer (Connie) of Lincoln, NE; one daughter, Nancy Lane of Columbia, MO; one sister, Betty Molloy; eight grandchildren, Karrie Reno, Greg Lane, Shawna Palmer, Tina Palmer, Todd Palmer, Jessie Palmer, Ben Palmer and JJ Lane; several great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. He was also preceded in death by one son, Dennis Palmer; two brothers, Harold Palmer and Raymond Palmer and two sisters, Hazel Hansen and Margaret Buckner.
