Ruth Ellen Barnes, 68, of Columbia, MO, passed away July 15, 2016. Graveside service with be held Tuesday, July 19, 2016, at 10am at Memorial Park Cemetery. Ruth was born on March 30, 1948, in Boone County, MO, to William and Ruth (Hendricks) Barnes. She graduated from Hickman HS and received a Bachelor’s in Education at University of Missouri. She loved gardening, cooking, and enjoyed the farm life with the animals. She is preceded in death by her parents and survived by siblings Doris Bundy, June Conley, Larry Barnes, and Kenneth Barnes; and multiple nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the donor’s choosing.
