Sydney Michael Crane, 74 of Kingdom City, Missouri passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2023 at his home, on the farm. Funeral Services will take place at 11 AM on Thursday August 3, 2023 at Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 10 AM. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Sydney was born on September 3, 1948 in Boone County the son of the late, Renfro V. Crane and Muriel M. Myers Crane. Syd was a 1966 graduate of Hickman High School. In scouting he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. He had a long career as a rural letter carrier where he was a member of the “Million Mile Club” for his safe driving record. He loved rural life, raising cattle, hunting, fishing and riding horses locally and around the country on trail rides. He loved going to auctions. He enjoyed NASCAR and demolition derbies. All his life he always had a trusty canine companion by his side.
Syd is survived by his two sons: Simon (Jess) Crane; Sam Crane; one granddaughter: Sophia Crane all of St. Louis; two sisters: Sue Crane (Ronnie O’Neal) of Fulton; Robin Crane (Al Reidlinger) of Kingdom City.
Syd was preceded in death by his parents and one brother: William Crane.
