Jim was born September 15, 1958, in St. Louis, MO to S. James and Vita Athanas Drexler. They moved to Columbia when he was in third grade and he would later graduate from Hickman High School in 1976. Soon after high school, he went to work for 3M. He started as a line worker and over his career with them, he moved up through several positions to a supervisor. He retired from 3M after 40 years. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing the local courses and was a member of the Columbia Country Club. He loved to take his dog Bailey on walks every day.
He is survived by his sister, Kathy Drexler of Columbia; his niece, Hanna Drexler of Columbia; a loving extended family and many dear friends from 3M, and by his beloved dogs, Bailey and Remi. He was preceded in death by his Parents.
