Alan Ray Forbes

Alan Ray Forbes, of Foxworth, Mississippi, passed away on Monday, March 1, 2021 at the age of 52. He was born in Columbia and has remained a lifelong resident of Marion County. He enjoyed working on cars and was known for his great sense of humor. Alan will be remembered as a loving son and father who was devoted to his family. He was preceded in death by his father, Charlie Forbes; a sister, Dorothy Whitehead; two brothers, Louis Forbes and Michael Forbes; and a nephew, Robert Whitehead. Alan is survived by his mother, Mazie Forbes; two daughters, Jesslyn Marie Forbes and Alaina Grace Forbes; five sisters, Barbara (Joe) Upton, Edna (John) Martin, Connie Edwards, Lisa (Bobby) Delancey, and Kay Thornhill; two brothers, Charles “Tony” Forbes and DeWitt (Lurline) Forbes; three nieces and three nephews. There will be a graveside service for Alan at 10:00am on Thursday, March 11, 2021 in the Foxworth Cemetery.
