Eddie Lee Thornhill Mulford, age 96, passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at The Myrtles Nursing Center in Columbia, MS. She was a lifelong resident of Foxworth, MS and retired from Rutter-Rex after 33 years of employment. Mrs. Mulford was a devout Christian and faithful member of Mt. Sinai Church of God. She loved southern gospel music, enjoyed gardening, and was “Mamaw” to her family she dearly loved.
Mrs. Mulford was preceded in death by her husband, Toxie Mulford; sons, Wade Mulford, Wayne Mulford, and Roger Mulford; parents, Elisha Thornhill and Eunice Smith Thornhill; brothers, J.P. Thornhill, Glen Thornhill, and Jessie Thornhill; and granddaughter, Lisa Turnage. Left to cherish her memory is her sister, Kathleen Warren of Foxworth; a brother, Robert Thornhill (Liz) of Goss, MS; daughter-in-law, Judy Mulford of Foxworth; six grandchildren, Chris Mulford (Wanda) of Sandy Hook, MS, Jennifer Moree (Philip),and Ronda Mulford, both of Columbia, Allen Mulford (Mitzi) of Foxworth, Kelly Franklin (Howard), and Stacey Turnage (Allen), both of Columbia; and seven great-grandchildren.
Family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday, May 19, 2022 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Colonial Funeral Home in Columbia. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Friday, May 20, 2022 at the funeral home where friends may visit from 9:00 am until service time. Reverend Allen Turnage will officiate at the service and burial will follow at Mt. Sinai Cemetery assisted by Chris Mulford, Jessie Mulford, Allen Mulford, Philip Moree, Howard Franklin, and Dillon Hertenstein as pallbearers, and Tanner Mulford, and Matthew Turnage as honorary pallbearers.
