Eva “Cooter Bell” Hedgepeth, a lifelong resident of Marion County, Mississippi, passed away in Covington, Louisiana on Thursday, July 09, 2020 at the age of 74. Born in Marion County, she was a homemaker who loved her family and loved the time spent together with her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Hedgepeth; her parents, Ollie and Mae McCain; a brother, Clyde McCain; and a sister, Linda Broom. Cooter Bell is survived by two daughters, Ramona Roberts and Kim Sheikh; four sons, Donald Ray Stogner, Ronald Jay (Laurie) Stogner, Chuck (Sandra) Stogner, and Hershel Stogner; six sisters, Sybil (Bill) Stogner, Hollie (Ronnie) Bedwell, Vondail (Milton), McKenzie, Rose Duncan, Sandra Menard, and Rachel (Ed) Cartier; 13 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. There will be a graveside funeral service, officiated by Reverend Dale Stogner, at 10:00am on Friday, July 10, 2020 in the Turnage Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery. Burial will follow the ceremony.
