F.L. “Pete” Robbins, lifelong resident of Columbia, MS, passed away Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Marion General Hospital. He was 105 years old. Pete was a veteran of the US Navy, having served in WWII, and was a graduate of Pearl River Community College. He worked in commercial construction as a supervisor and was a longtime member of First Baptist Church Columbia.
Mr. Robbins was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth Robbins; son, Paul Robbins; grandson, Wayne Robbins; parents, Marion Luther Robbins and Odell Oswalt Robbins; and all of his siblings. Left to cherish his long legacy and memories include his wife, Grace Manton Robbins of Columbia; and numerous extended family and friends.
There will be a graveside service celebrating Pete’s life at 1:00 PM on Monday, August 16, 2021 at Woodlawn Cemetery, officiated by Reverend Thomas Thurman.
