Gary Wayne Pittman, aged 61 years of Lumberton, MS, died Thursday, February 1, 2018 at his residence. A native of Mississippi, he worked as a driller in the oil field for many years and was of the Pentecostal faith.
Mr. Pittman was preceded in death by father, Louie Wayne Pittman; and sister, Bonnie Addington. He is survived by a daughter, Heather (Randy) Box of Sumrall, MS; two sons, Eric Wayne (Barbara) Russell, and Gary Chad (Heather) Russell, both of Sumrall; his mother, Ruby Nell Pittman of Westmoreland, TN; three sisters, Patsy (Sammy) Carr of Westmoreland, TN, Lois (Ricky) Dyess of Carson, MS, and Margaret Pittman of Lumberton, MS; a brother, Paul Pittman of Lumberton, MS; and five grandchildren, Presleigh Box, Gunner Box, Elle Russell, Harper Russell, and Tatum Russell.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 3, 2018 from 9:00am until 10:00am at Colonial Funeral Home in Columbia, MS. Graveside services and interment will follow at 10:30am at Pine Burr Church of the Lord Jesus Christ Cemetery with Reverend W.D. Hibley presiding.
