George E. Beasley Sr.

George E. Beasley, Sr., a lifelong resident of Columbia, Mississippi, passed from this life into God’s presence on Friday, January 14, 2022 at the age of 75. He was one 26 children born to Elbert and Annie Beasley. George retired from a long career working in the oil field and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He never met a stranger and never had anything bad to say about anyone. George was always willing to help anyone who had a need and will be remembered as the sweetest, kindest person you could ever meet. His great love for his family will be forever cherished by his loved ones as he always took the opportunity say, “I love you the whole world full.”

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marie Case Beasley; his parents and 21 of his siblings. George is survived by his wife, Linda Beasley; two daughters, Anisha (Zeke) Coleman and Charlotte (Paytron) Mathis; five sons, Dannon Beasley, George Beasley, Jr, Donald Johnson, Barry (Maggie) Johnson, and Julian (Michelle) Johnson; two sisters, Sherry Anne Dennis and Wenifred (Johnny) Amann; two brothers, Michael (Mary) Beasley and Wayne (Linda) Beasley; 20 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great-grandchildren.

There will be a visitation for George at Colonial Funeral Home from 12:00pm until 1:30pm on Wednesday, January 19, 2022. The funeral service will follow at the graveside in Woodlawn Cemetery at 2:00pm.
