Herman Ray Peak

Herman Ray Peak, of Columbia, Mississippi, passed from this life into God’s presence on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at the age of 81. He was born in Marion County to Hezzie and Ethel Mae Peak where he has remained a lifelong resident. Ray enjoyed being outdoors and spent countless hours tending to the flower beds, planting varieties of trees and bushes, and enjoying the beauty of his efforts. He was a man of faith and will be remembered for the deep love that he had for his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Cook; and two brothers, Bobby Peak and LeRoy Peak. Ray is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Lola Mae Peak; three sons, Danny Peak, Johnny Peak (Sandra), and Roger Peak (Susan); a sister, Ann Peak; four grandchildren, Heather Albritton (Alex), Garret Peak, John Peak (Erin), and Zack Peak (Kayla); and nine great-grandchildren.

The funeral service for Ray will be at the graveside in Woodlawn Cemetery on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at 10:00am.
