James Vernon Green

Mr. James Vernon Green, age 98 Years, passed away Sunday March 27, peacefully at his home with his family by his side. Mr. Green was a retired from the logging industry and a member of Baylis Chapel Methodist Church in Columbia, Ms.

He was preceded in death by his parents James Eugene and Rhoda Bond Green, wife Mrs. Cecile Sartin Green, a daughter Grace Graham, a grandson Doug Green, two brothers and 2 sisters. He is survived by four sons James W. "Punk" Green (Helen), Pat Green (Billie Jean), Eugene Green (Sandy) all of Columbia, Bobby Green (Peggy) of Sumrall, Ms. two sisters Dorothy Bullock, Mary Cook both of Columbia, a brother Edward "Ham" Green of Sumrall, 14 grandchildren, numerous great and great-great grandchildren and many other friends and family.

Services will be held Wednesday March 30, 10am in the Chapel of Colonial Funeral Home in Columbia with visitation Tuesday 5-9pm at the funeral home, interment is in Rocky Branch Baptist Church Cemetery.
