James Andrew "Jimmy" Passons Sr.

James Andrew “Jimmy” Passons, Sr., of Foxworth, Mississippi, passed from this life into God’s loving arms on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at the age of 55. He was born in Vicksburg, Mississippi to Thomas and Evelyn Passons and moved to Florence, Mississippi in his twenties. Known as “The Glass Man,” Jimmy worked his entire career installing automotive glass. He loved all things about cars and enjoyed his off time buying, rebuilding, repairing, and selling cars. Prior to moving to Foxworth two years ago, he lived in Sumrall for about ten years. Jimmy was a quite, private man and had a great sense of humor. He will be remembered for his generosity and willingness to help anyone in need.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gail Passons; and a son, Timothy Passons. Jimmy is survived by three daughters, Madelyn Passons, Amber Byrne (Logan), and Samantha Wiginton; a son, Andrew Passons (Brittany); two sisters, Brenda Capps and Diane Miles (Jimmy); two brothers, Ronnie Passons and Jerry Passons (Mary); and five grandchildren, Brayden Caylor, Daniel Passons, Remington Passons, Jensen Passons, and Meadow Passons.

The funeral service for Jimmy will be at Jesus Name Tabernacle in Florence, Mississippi on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at 12:00pm. Friends may visit with the family from 10:30am until service time. Burial will follow in the church cemetery, assisted by Andrew Passons, Lee Lovern, Logan Byrne, Walt Pitts, Joseph Day, and T.J. Campbell serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be his brothers, Ronnie Passons and Jerry Passons.
