Jonathan Ryan "Jon" Stafford

Jonathan Ryan “Jon” Stafford, a lifelong resident of Sandy Hook, Mississippi, passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at the age of 36. He was a carpenter and worked with his grandfather, Ben McCain, in home construction. He could work on and repair anything mechanical and would always help anyone with a need. Jon loved his family and especially loved his nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Ben McCain; his paternal grandfather, Modez Stafford; and his paternal grandmother, Shirley Pittman. Jon is survived by his mother, Carla McCain; his father and step-mother, Donald and Shirlene Stafford; his maternal grandmother, Sue McCain; a sister, Donna Rico (Stephen); three brothers, Corey McCain (Paige), Joshua Stafford (Brandie), and Jordan Stafford (Ashley); twelve nieces and nephews and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

There will be a visitation for Jon at Colonial Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 from 12:00pm until 2:00pm. The funeral, officiated by Reverend Carl Dickens, will follow at 2:00pm in the funeral home chapel. Jon will be laid to rest in Carson Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Jeff McCain, Ty McCain, Richard Smith, Stephen Rico, Jacques Rico, and Frank Cleland serving as pallbearers.
