Linda "Carol" Tippit Jones

Linda “Carol” Tippit Jones passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2022. She was 74 years old. Linda was a longtime resident of Marrero, La, where she was homemaker, and was a member of Believer’s Life Family Church in Gretna, LA.

Linda was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathy Lynn Roberts; parents, Daniel Webster Tippit and Mabel Lee Johnson Tippit; grandsons, Chase Brandon Roberts, and Jared Lee Roberts; and a great-granddaughter, Ella Jane Jones. She is survived by her husband, Billy R. Jones; three daughters, Sharon Ann Roberts, Sandra Jean Roberts (Rusty), and Jo Ann Dragon (Edward, Jr.); four sons, Michael Joe Roberts, Daniel Joseph Roberts, Scottie Lee Roberts, and Justin Ross Jones (Alisabeth Kelly); two sisters, Brenda Spears, and Sherrill Reagan (Tommy); eleven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A funeral service, officiated by Dr. Daniel Smith, will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Mount Carmel Church of God where family will receive friends from 11:30 am until service time. Burial will follow at Bedwell Cemetery assisted by Scottie Jones, Austin Jones, Andrew Forbes, Ray Pittman, Samuel Smith, and Wendell Sullivan as pallbearers.
