Mazie Forbes

Mazie Marie Ryals Forbes, age 84 of Kokomo, MS passed away Thursday, May 20, 2021 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS. She was a homemaker and loved word search puzzles, reading books, and watching soap operas and game shows. Mazie was a member of Goss Baptist Church.

Mrs. Forbes was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Forbes; daughter, Dorothy Forbes Whitehead; sons, Alan Forbes, Michael Forbes, and Louis Forbes; parents, John Ryals and Ada Yates Ryals; three sisters; four brothers; and a grandson, Robert Whitehead. She is survived by six daughters, Barbara Upton (Joe), Edna Martin (John), Lisa Delancey (Bobby), Glenda Garrison, Connie Edwards, and Kay Thornhill; two sons, Dewitt Forbes (Lurline), and Tony Forbes; a sister, Christine Rasmussen (John); and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

A graveside service, officiated by Reverend Bryson Haden, will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, May 24, 2021 at Society Hill Cemetery in Oak Vale, MS.
