Mike Loftin, age 66 of Columbia, MS passed away Monday, March 23, 2020 at Merit Health Wesley in Hattiesburg, MS. Mike served in the US Air Force and was employed for 32 years with various oil field companies including Tetra Petroleum. He was currently employed as a security officer at Columbia Academy and a member of Foxworth First Baptist Church.
Mr. Loftin was preceded in death by his parents, Howard Loftin and Eloise Langston Loftin; and brother, Stephen Loftin. He is survived by his wife, Janet Moore Loftin of Columbia; a son, Jonathan Loftin and wife, Rebecca of Clinton, MS; a sister, Judy Pachmayr and husband, Jim of Columbia; brother, Mark Loftin and his wife, Belinda of Varnado, LA; four grandchildren, Bre Loftin, Allie Loftin, Nichole Creel, and Colby Creel; and a great-grandson, Liam Creel.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at Foxworth First Baptist Church where family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until service time. Reverend Tyler Chavis and Reverend Kevin Crozier will preside over services.
