Nora L. King

Nora L. King, of Columbia, Mississippi, passed from this life into God’s presence on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at the age of 79. She was born in Kentucky to Wayne Hadden and Flora Montgomery Conley. A resident of Marion County for the past forty years, Nora served her community and her Lord through her membership with Foxworth United Methodist Church. She was funny, witty, spirited, and had a great sense of humor. Nora will be remembered as a Godly woman, full of wisdom and generous to a fault. She would help anyone with a need and was a mother to many children who were fortunate to be taken into her fold. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Billie Jo Richards and Polly Pritt; two brothers, Wayne H. Conley, Jr. and Kenneth L. Conley; her husband, Boyd M King, Sr.; and a grandson, Brian King. Nora is survived by five daughters, Pam Samford, Betty King, Amber Hamel and her husband, Blake, Mollie Caudill, and Laura Beth Anderson and her husband, Moses; three sons, Boyd “P-Nut” King, Jr. and his wife, Rebecca, Kenneth Faust, and Kelly Conley and his wife, Naomi; a sister, Evelyn Dalton; nineteen grandchildren, Trey King, Zeal Sistrunk, Nathaniel Sistrunk, Jacob Gibson, Jasmine Sistrunk, Stacy Stogner, Calvin Thomas Bounds, Sarah King, Olivia Hamel, Angelina Hamel, Kahlan Hamel, Kylie Hamel, Corey Conley, Courtney Conley, Breanna Conley, Jasmine Conley, Damian Conley, Hayden Conley, and Violet Nowak; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The funeral service, officiated by Reverend Mack Harrison, will be at the graveside in Boyd-Alexander Cemetery at 3:00pm on Thursday, January 20, 2022. Kenneth Faust, Calvin Bounds, Chance King, Zeal Sistrunk, Nathaniel Sistrunk, Trey King, and Damian Conley will assist as pallbearers.
