Patsy Jones

Patsy G. Jones, of Kokomo, Mississippi, passed from this life into God’s presence on Thursday, October 13, 2022 at the age of 85. She was born in Tylertown to Oscar and Edith Lee and has been a lifelong resident of Marion County. She worked for Rutter Rex for 37 years and was a longtime member of Shiloh Baptist Church. Patsy was an excellent cook and work tirelessly for years in the church kitchen. She will be remembered for her amazing dressing.

She was preceded by her parents; two sisters, Lou Ella Blackwell and Lorraine Williams; two brothers, O.C. Lee and David Lee; a son, Mike Jones; and her husband, Fred L. Jones, Jr. Patsy is survived by two daughters, Wanda Stringer (Jimmy) and Pam Holmes (Tillman); two sons, Hoyt L. Jones (Jamie) and Perry Jones (Susan); six grandchildren, Derek Jones (Natalie), Brandon Jones (Rachel), Mike Stringer (Amy), Mitch Stringer (Mandi), Amy Herrin (Neal), Ashley Holmes (Brittany); twelve great-grandchildren, Kyler Jones, Peyton Jones, Arianna Stringer, Micah Stringer, Natalie Smith, Zoey Stringer, Mendi Stringer, Caleb Herrin, Lauryn Herrin, Roren Holmes, Landrie Holmes, and Caden Turnage.

The funeral service, officiated by Reverend Glenn Nace, was at 9:30am on Friday, October 14, 2022 at the graveside in Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery.
