Mrs. Rebecca “Becky” Ann Selman, age 64, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2020 at Asbury Hospice House in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. She was born to the late Herman “Tex” Lambrecht and Elizabeth Bivans Lambrecht, on July 27, 1955 in Dallas, Texas and was a longtime resident of Columbia, Mississippi.
Becky served in the Salvation Army with her husband, and earned a PhD in Christian Counseling. She was an active member of First Assembly Church of God in Columbia where she had a close group of loving friends.
Mrs. Selman was preceded in death by her parents; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Warren Selman Sr. and Jo Selman; and grandson, Aaron Zerbe.
Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the hearts of those that knew and loved her during her time on this earth including her husband, Warren Selman, Jr.; daughter, Elizabeth Selman; son, Warren “Jay” Selman, III; two grandchildren, Kayleigh Robertson, and Daniel Robertson; two brothers, John Lambrecht and his wife Lynn, and Buzz Lambrecht and his wife, Diane; and sisters-in-law, Cat Selman, Gaye Broome, and Jo Beth Crout and her husband, Louis.
She will forever be remembered as a doting wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
A memorial service will be at 2:00pm on Monday, May 11, 2020 at First Assembly of God in Columbia where friends may visit from 1:00pm until service time. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
