Rhelda F. Easterling

Rhelda F. Easterling, age 90, passed away Saturday, April 11, 2026 in Pontotoc, MS where she currently resided. She was a former resident of Natchez, MS and owned and operated Easterling Music Company in Vidalia, LA alongside her husband, Jim, and retired shortly after his passing in 2023.

Rhelda was preceded in death by her husband, James Gordon "Jim" Easterling, Sr., her parents, R.V. Morgan, and Bessie Morgan, and all of her siblings.

She is survived by her sons, James Gordon Eastering, Jr. (Susan) of Pontotoc, and Gregory Neal Easterling (Sueann) of Natchez; six grandchildren; Jay Easterling, III (Angel), Quentin Easterling (Jennifer), Amanda Stark (Wylie), Jessica Christoff (Brian), Angela Easterling, and Erin Gaspard (Shane); 15 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Colonial Funeral Home in Columbia, MS. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Thursday, April 16, 2026 at the funeral home where friends may visit from 10:00 am until the hour of service. Reverend Randall Buchanan will officiate and burial will follow at Morgantown Cemetery assisted by Jay Easterling, Quentin Easterling, Wylie Stark, Morgan Easterling, Frank Stark, Easton Stark, Ayden Clarkston, and Ethan Clarkston serving as pallbearers, and honorary pallbearers, Larry Bolan, and Phillip Trosclair.
