Rhonda Sue Smith

Rhonda Sue “Runt” Smith, age 64, passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at her residence in Foxworth, MS. She was of the Baptist faith and worked as a seamstress with Pioneer Aerospace and later became a homemaker.

Ms. Smith was preceded in death by her former husband, Michael Wayne Johnson; parents, Johnny Merritt and Mary Sue Knight Merritt; brothers, Johnny Merritt, and James Harrell; a grandson, Jack Lowery, Jr.; and a granddaughter, Kelcee Lowery. Survivors include her daughters, Angela Lowery (David), and Mary McCloud (Dwayne); a son, Sean Johnson (David); a sister, Melissa Cooper (PoJo); a brother, David Merritt; nine grandchildren, Lashonda Johnson, George “Kenzie” Johnson, Michael McCloud, Dwayne “Jr.” McCloud, Brandon McCloud, Daniel McCloud, Joshua McCloud, Joseph McCloud, and Nevaeh McCloud; a great-grandson, Stanley “Baby Man” Johnson; three nieces, Stephanie Stewart, Victoria Hodges, and Kirstin Walker; and four great-nieces.

Funeral services for Ms. Smith will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at Colonial Funeral Home where family will receive friends for visitation from 11:00 AM until service time. Burial will be private.
