Ricky Joe Woodward

Ricky Joe Woodward, age 56 passed away Monday, November 30, 2020 at his residence in Sandy Hook, MS. He was born in Laurel, MS and was a longtime resident of Marion County where he worked for various companies including Miller’s Excavating. Ricky was of the Baptist faith.

Mr. Woodward was preceded in death by his father, Olen E. Woodward, Sr.; sisters, Wanda Woodward, and Judy Woodward; and brothers, Olen E. Woodward, Jr., O.W. Woodward, and Ray Elvis Woodward. He is survived by his daughter, Kelly Louge; two sons, Timothy Woodward, and Brandon Woodward; his mother, Crystell McNabb Woodward; two sisters, Joan Woodward, and Stella (Kevin) LeBlanc; three brothers, David Woodward, Henry Woodward, and Willard (Renata) Woodward; and numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at Colonial Funeral Home in Columbia, MS. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, December 3, 2020 in the funeral home chapel where family will receive friends from 9:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow at Hurricane Creek Cemetery.
