Ronald Doyle "Ronnie" Bass

Ronald Doyle “Ronnie” Bass, of New Iberia, Louisiana, passed away on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at the age of 45. He was born in Bogalusa, Louisiana and lived the majority of his life in Marion County, Mississippi. Ronnie moved to New Iberia four years ago where he worked as a plumber. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping and fishing adventures. Ronnie was kind hearted and a good friend to all. He will be remembered for his honesty and integrity. He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Matthews Herring. Ronnie is survived by two daughters, Jackie Schilling and Karter Changkachith; his father, Bobby Bass; a sister, Bobbie Lynn Bass; a brother, Domonic Bass; a grandchild, Dixie Schilling; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. The funeral service for Ronnie will be at Colonial Funeral Home in Columbia on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 3:00pm. Friends may visit with the family from 2:00pm until service time. The burial will follow in the Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
