Thelma Harrell Morgan

Thelma Harrell Morgan, age 91, passed away Sunday, July 30, 2023 at her residence in Franklinton, LA. She lived her lifelong dream working as a Licensed Practical Nurse, and retired from Jefferson Health Care in Jefferson, LA and was a member of Bridge City Baptist Church.

Thelma was preceded in death by her husband, William Morgan; sons, Donnie James Yates, and Jerry Dean Morgan; parents, Walter Simon Harrell and Donnie Mae Knight Harrell; sisters, Irene McCain, and Francis Arinder; and brothers, D.S. Harrell, Walter Harrell, Jr., and Charles Harrell. Memories of Thelma will be forever cherished by her daughter, Cynthia Brewster (Scott) of Franklinton; her sons, Gerald Alex Yates (Robin) of Gonzales, La, Gary Wayne Yates (Deborah) of Ponchatoula, LA, and Johnny Ray Morgan (Lisa) of Metairie, LA; sisters, Billie Sue Pittman of Kokomo, MS, Millie Mae Bass of Pensacola, FL, and Katherine Stanford (Johnny) of Columbia, MS; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

There will be a graveside service at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 4, 2023 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Columbia, MS.
