Timothy Alan Goings Jr.

Alan Goings, of Sandy Hook, Mississippi, passed away Sunday, December22,2019 at the age of 29. He was born in McComb, Mississippi and was a lifelong resident of the Sandy Hook community. Alan was a great conversationalist and will be remembered for his big heart and desire to help anyone in need. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sherri McCain Goings; his paternal grandfather, Malcom R. “Tiny Boy” Goings; paternal grandmother, Helen King; and a niece, Priscilla Grace Carpenter. Alan is survived by his father, Timothy Alan Goings, Sr. and his wife, Dawn; two sisters, Laken Goings and Nina Carpenter and her husband, Clint; maternal grandparents, Ben and Sue McCain; a niece, Elizabeth Carpenter; three nephews, Dalton Carpenter, Aiden Goings, and Fabian Goings; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. The visitation for Alan will be at Colonial Funeral Home from 12:00pm until 2:00pm on Saturday, December 28, 2019. The funeral service will follow at 2:00pm in the funeral home chapel officiated by Brother Carl Dickens and Brother Robert Crumedy, Sr. Burial will be in Carson Springs Baptist Church Cemetery assisted by Jordan Stafford, Larry Guy, Jonathan Stafford, Robert Crumedy, Jr., Rodney Crumedy, and Roderick Crumedy serving as pallbearers.
