

Mrs. Anna Belle Clark, age 86, of Lexington, SC passed away on December 2, 2020 at the Lexington Medical Center. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Mr. Harold V. Clark, Sr.; three sons, Maynard A. Clark, Harold V. Clark, Jr., Christopher W. Clark; daughters-in-law, Lindsey A. Clark and Pamela Clark; grandsons, Cameron Clark and Evan Clark; granddaughters, Pamela Anastasi, Kelsy Clark, Madison Clark and Meredith Clark and great-grands, Joseph Johnson, Brenden Johnson and Emeroy Zuniga.
She was preceded in death by her father, Hidesato Watanabe; mother, Masa Watanabe; sister, Shizuko Clark and brother, Tadashi Watanabe.
Anna Belle was born Akiko Watanabe, in Japan, and immigrated to the U.S. in 1969 with her husband, Harold Clark. She became an American citizen in 1982 when she passed her naturalization exam with the help of her elementary school aged sons, Christopher and Harold. Anna Belle was a devoted wife and mother who will be remembered for her kindness and willingness to feed all the neighborhood kids. Along with her husband, she was involved for many years with the Boy Scouts of America and proudly watched Harold Jr. and Christopher become Eagle Scouts.
Mrs. Clark was an accomplished professional seamstress and loved to go shopping and working in her garden. She was the best part of our family and will be greatly missed.
