Aurelia J Koon

COLUMBIA – Thelma Aurelia Jeffcoat Koon, 88, formerly of Swansea, passed away on Tuesday, June 12, 2012. Born, October 29, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Willie E. and Lila Mae Jeffcoat. Mrs. Koon was a member of Earlewood Baptist Church and Order of the Eastern Star Shandon Chapter 139.

Mrs. Koon is survived by her daughter, Ann Koon Leath and son-in-law, J. Mike Leath, whom she loved as a son, both of Columbia; 4 grandchildren, J. Morgan Leath (Deanna Carnell) of Irmo, Michelle K. Joiner (Marty) of Greer, Darren Koon (Nanci) of Lexington, Denise K. Yarborough and 4 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Wiley Jennings Koon, Sr. and her son, Wiley Jennings Koon, Jr.
