Bette Jane Compo passed away April 15, 2026 at the age of 88. Mrs. Compo was born and raised in Richmond Virginia and was a resident of Columbia, South Carolina since 1976. Bette was predeceased by her husband, Don Arthur Compo. She worked in administration for Midlands Technical College for several years.
Bette was a wonderful mother to her six surviving children: sons, Arthur, Timothy, Christopher, and Michael Compo; and daughters, Teresa Sams and Lisa Compo. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
A family graveside service will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
